This is a truly Florentine apartment decorated tastefully in all details with artworks, ceramics and books gathered meticulously by the owner who also occasionally lives in this beautiful apartment.

This 2-bedroom apartment features a spacious living room with two windows overlooking a backyard. A small balcony also faces this backyard and is accessible from a well equipped rustic style kitchen at far end of the living room.

One of the two bedrooms offers more privacy with its en-suit bathroom. Although it does not have a window, but it is lit nicely to provide a more relaxing atmosphere. The other bedroom that has a comfortable large sofabed is brighter with two windows. This room can be used as a second living room with the sofa bed closed or as a bedroom with the sofa bed open. A second large bathroom with a bath tub is in the corridor very close to this bedroom.

The apartment is located on the third floor of a historic building dating back to the 1200's so, obviously no elevator here, but the 54-stair walk up is well worth the experience of this authentic Tuscan charm. It is just a few steps from the San Niccolo` tower which is just down by the hill where Piazzale Michelangelo is. The San Niccolo` neighborhood is where you can still experience the authentic life style of the old Florence. Many artisan shops still operate in the area adorned by old beautiful buildings. In this neighborhood there are several restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and small bars offering a variety of authentic Italian food for all tastes and budgets.

There are several small shops for daily needs as well as a big supermarket ( Conad ) within a 10-minute walk to the beginning of via Bardi which is very close to the Ponte Vecchio.

A similar short stroll through Ponte alle Grazie bridge takes you to the daily food market of Sant'Ambrogio on the other side of the Arno river.

You will love this rustic and beautiful apartment. Because there are several valuable objects and original artworks in the apartment we think it is not suitable for small children. Also from the living room to kitchen there are 2 single wide steps that make it inadequate for children or people with limited mobility.
